ARCELIA’S STORY:
Arcelia was born on the island of Ometepe, Nicaragua in 1988 but grew up in Granada.
It was her love of the nature on her mother island that called her back to Isla Ometepe and inspired her to become a tour guide and she has the distinction of being the FIRST CERTIFIED FEMALE TOUR GUIDE on Isla Ometepe and to this day - one of the few (especially one of the few actually born on Ometepe island).
She has 5 years of experience as a tour guide, speaks good clear English (she’s self taught), and she understands the level of Customer service most of her guests are used to but don’t easily find in a 3rd world country.
She truly loves what she does and looking after her guests with whatever their needs are from teaching them about the culture of her home island, to booking accommodations, helping them with translation or getting a cell chip and especially helping them push themselves to new levels of adventure and maybe even pushing themselves to their limits!
Arcelia is very curious and is always expanding her knowledge. She has taken many courses including: customer service, first aid, ecology, geology, archeology, history of Nicaragua and participated in a study of international amphibians and Flora and Fauna (IS THIS WHAT YOU WERE TRYING TO SAY?)
Her goal is to have fun while making sure all of her guests have an unforgettable island experience!
