PEQUENO MUNDO - 2 BUY in Costa Rica
PEQUENO MUNDO is BY FAR the cheapest place with the largest selection for everything one would need to set up a new home. Everything from:
• HOUSEWARES - from dishes sets for under $20, glassware, can openers & so much more!!
• DECORATIVE items
• HARDWARE•Ferretería (a GREAT place to find everything from the old-fashioned [healther for you] light bulbs, hammers, screwdrivers and all that type of stuff)
• FOOD•Groceries•Abarrotes & CANDY - mainly unknown brands but sometimes you get lucky & find major name brands like Shasta sodas for 250-c!! (this is where I get a big bag of candy each time I do my Visa Runs - to share with people I encounter along the way)
• FURNITURE (in the larger ones mainly) - everything from furniture for the living room, bedroom, office, futons, outdoors,
• CLOTHES for Kids•Niños • Babies•Bebes • Women•Damas • Men•Caballeros • Shoes•Calzado.
• GARDENING things
• PETS (the Guachipelin has almost a whole ROW of things!!)
• AUTO
• PAINT (in larger ones)
• CRAFTS - I've even seen large selections of canvases in larger locations.
& SOOO MUCH MORE!!!!

Granted it's cheap cheaply made in China things but GREAT cheap prices to get you started at least.
NOTE: If there's something you like - buy a BUNCH of them THEN - as - like throughout Costa Rica - what they have today may most likely not be there in a month!
*****FYI - the one in Escazu - Guachipelin is one of THE LARGEST & MY FAV!!!
