Playa Grande Villa 102 Costa Rica
Beautiful luxury new construction (completed July 2010). 5 bedroom 5 bath with pool located about 3-5 minute walk to beach access. 4 bedrooms have en-suite baths with king bed and private balcony/patio. 5th bedroom has twin bunk beds. Gourmet kitchen, 10 person dining table, large great room, stainless BBQ area on back patio. Private caretaker on-site.
This house is located in an upscale community within Playa Grande, called "Palm Beach Estates".
Hi Vicki,
Great questions…Here’s the scoop
2 bedrooms have the “master-style” bathroom with double sinks, Jacuzzi tub, rain shower
2 bedrooms have standard bathroom with single sink, rain shower
1 bedroom with twin bunk beds is located upstairs. There is not an en-suite bathroom, but a ½ bath (toilet and sink) is located downstairs next to the staircase
Ceiling fans and mini-split AC units throughout. Wifi installed. Phone for local calls. Bath and beach towels provided.
Kitchen is fully furnished with stainless appliances and electro-domestics. Also has wine refrigerator and six-burner stove
Caretaker lives in apartment above the single car garage. Apartment does NOT have access to the main house.
Leatherback turtle nesting season is mid-October to mid-February. Reservations required for tour given by the MINAE parks department.
House is located next to mini market (large empty lot between them) and tipico restaurant (closes at 10pm).
Hotel Bula Bula located about 200 meters away. Beach Access about 250 meters.
House is located within the green zone, so apart from the market and this house, there are no other houses in immediate vicinity.
Our neighborhood of “Palm Beach Estates” is an upscale community with limited commercial development (3 restaurants and 1 mini-market)
The north side of Playa Grande (about 1 ½ mile drive) has more restaurants, surf shops, and other retail establishments.
Tamarindo, a much larger community, is an easy boat taxi ride away. About $3 and 5-10 minute ride down the estuary.
Thanks,
Todd

Anything else in the kitchen - microwave, coffee maker? What else?
When's your turtle breeding season?
All bathrooms have a double sink?

The caretaker does not live IN the house does he?
Are beachtowels included?
How far are they from you??
What's the WiFi situation?

You'll be open/serving on Christmas Day (till about what time)? New Years Eve? New Years Day?

Bathroom with tub - is it a jacuzzi tub? Are all equal or is this the master?
WHAT ARE THE STRONGEST MONTHS for TURTLE HATCHING SEASON:
IS THIS PART ABOUT YA'LL ALSO???
The best months to see Olive Ridley sea turtles in Ostional National Wildlife Refuge are between June and December. Olive Ridleys are known for their huge arribadas, or egg-laying episodes, where tens of thousands of turtles come ashore to lay their eggs. While turtles are spotted here just about any night during the wet season (May-November), the peak months from August to October are truly a treat.
Location and Playa Grande Information:
Playa Grande is a tranquil spot and is perfect for relaxing and enjoying the nature around us. Enjoy surfing, leatherback turtle nesting, bird watching, estuary tours, aquatic adventure. But Tamarindo is nearby (across the estuary) so if you're looking for dancing, live music or a late-night party experience, you can easily find it there. For many, Playa Grande is the perfect balance of being "in it" and being away from it all.
Playa Grande is a national park (for the giant leatherback turtles) and development is highly restricted - especially tough restrictions do not allow beach-front development. This restriction aids the turtles and preserves the nearly pristine beach here in Playa Grande. Returning clients will come back to the beauty and tranquility that they initially experienced - not to an over-developed area that they barely recognize. Playa Grande is bounded on the west by the Pacific Ocean and to the east by an estuary. Mangrove trees line the estuary (a National Wildlife Refuge) and serve as nature's nursery, providing a safe haven for many species including parrots, monkeys, crocodiles and caimans. A wealth of plant varieties, tropical flowers and exotic orchids thrive in our dry rain forest region.
