Cabina - Sweet San Antonio ESCAZU Studio Cabina

SCENARIO of Vicki’s POSSIBLE new “Crash Place” (in between House & Pet Sitting gigs):
I don’t spend much time these days on the various “Message Boards/Forums” (Facebook is my new form of entertainment & growth) but I happen on this note about a tiny studio in Escazu for just $350/month so I check it out - manly for a couple other people as I’ve been LOVING this life I’ve created booked solid since January 15, 2012 doing Pet & House Sitting - http://LovingYourPetHouseSitting.com & being a Free Bird/gypsy.
But I’m thinking - this time of the year many people either do not travel away as much (their family & friends often come see them - or they’re NOT wanting to go traveling in the snow) so my normal 2 week minimum might be harder to fill so if I had a “Crash Pad”, I could do shorter gigs & have a MEGA TRANQUIL place to come back to to catch up my on my calm sleep (since when I Pet Sit, I often let the pets sleep with me since I know they’re often traumatized with their parents being away - especially during the holidays with all the fireworks going on throughout the month).
So I went to see the place & I FELL IN LOVE with this TEENY TINY (MAYBE 300 feet of living space - plus a NICE size balcony which I’d turn more into a Livingroom - working on my WONDERFUL MacBook Pro [a gift from a fan of my http://LivingLifeInCostaRica.blogspot.com site/the Universe/the “Angel”/turned good friend - known as Tom!! & I can have any of the furniture & things in the main house which will be getting renovated soon!!!) VERY RUSTICY Studio - WAYYYY up in the mountains of my FAV little Pueblo of San Antonio de Escazu!! Specifically the neighborhood - el Curio!! & I can NOT get it out of my mind!!
A couple things first - it’s available immediately so I may have to wait to see if someone takes it in the mean time as I’m booked up till the 2nd week of January.
Also, I’ve spoken with a few realtors from Escazu who are saying based on the area (it’s LOTS more remote/less convenient) & how rusticy it is (I don’t know if it even has hot water [which I WILL HAVE to remedy first since I do NOT DO cold showers!!], no phone, cable, electricity or water included) & TINY & nothing is included in it (my SWEET cabina up in Pico Blanco [which I HAD to give up because the internet & cell connection were HORRIBLE in the cabina plus there was a SWEET guard dog that liked to start barking around 5am UNDER my window once they started some construction across the street & I NORMALLY go to bed between midnight & 3am+ - I was LITERALLY shaking one day from getting 3 hours that night & about that for a few days before] - but that was a sweet little 1-bedroom Cabina in the same area last year was $350 (furnished also) but it also included electricity, cable tv & water plus I had access to the housekeeper at the hotel to do my laundry & clean AND Room Service from the restaurant! - http://facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.2268249030099.2132075.1364767178) so not poz if I’d pay $350/month.
Another BIG thing is I do NOT want to commit to more than month-to-month - especially if there is construction going on above me - in case it gets unbearable (in Costa Rica, to often - instead of just renting a jack hammer for 1-2 days - LITERALLY - some workers will hammer & chisel for WEEKS or MONTHs to bring something down!! That bahm! bahm! bahm! throughOUT the day for weeks/months can REALLY get on one!)
But it has LOTS of windows which I LOVE (unfortunately they don’t open but I’ve come up with a possible remedy on it) & is SURROUNDED by GREEN (there’s LOTS of land there also - BUT, it’s a slope so there’s not much you can do with that) & if they trimmed the trees back, there would be a nice view of the Central Valley below.
It sure could use my creative loving hands to funk it up a bit (I do NOT NOT NOT want chachkees/chunchas any longer having sold just about everything from my 6,000 square foot former guest house & down to basically 3 suitcases & 2 duffel bags [& a few bags of shoes I AM getting rid of])!!!
I’ve been going back & forth but I JUST can NOT get it out of my mind!!
So, we’ll see!!! If it’s supposed to be mine - the Executor will
be workable! If not, I’ll just go back into Trust Mode!!
So what do you think??? Do you know anyone up this way??
