Mil y Una Noche - Alajuela, Costa Rica
I recently experienced a FABULOUS restaurant over near SJO Airport - Mil y Una Noche (Thousand and One Nights) - http://MilYUnaNoche.com - today for a Newcomers women's group luncheon - and it was ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS and EVERYONE I talked to shared similar sentiments (which is RARE with a group of 40+ gals to ALL share such positive comments about a restaurant in Costa Rica I've found!!).
Owner Henry is from Iran so the food is authentic PERSIAN (one of my FAVS!! LOTS more DETAILS coming soon)!!
AMBIANCE: Ambiance wise I think it's one of the MOST UNIQUE dining experiences I've found in Costa Rica! I was there in the daytime (pics below) but I have a feeling it's also potentially VERY ROMANTIC at night as well!!!
Details on what all we had coming but we got a lunch buffet for 40-something for $20/person with a drink & dessert & LOTS of choices!!!!
LOCATION: Alajuela - Coming from San Jose, get off at the exit off the highway where you take for the Fiesta Casino, Denny's & the Hampton Inn. Instead of going straight into them, turn RIGHT (the street where many of the Rental Car offices are) and go down about 500 meters. They're located on the right side inside the Hotel Casa Antigua.
