With over 20 years in the Travel Industry & as a Travel Writer, 12 years doing Vacation Property Promotions in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, 5+ years having my own Guest House in Escazu, Costa Rica & a lifetime as an Information Junkie with numerous blogs/information websites & Connector, let me assist you in setting up your new hotel, B&B, Guest House, Condo or Villa Vacation Home or sprucing up your old Vacation Rental Property to a level that appeals to the North American clientele which is often looking for more - a special vacation! As an owner, have you ever learned someone had rented your property but you had no recollection of them (because your manager rented it out & pocketed the money)? I'll come live/experience your place for 5-7 days so I can get a real feel for your home & immerse myself into your area. Need a photographer to take professional pictures to make your place more inviting? An Architect that understands Conscious/Green building? A Feng Shui Master to help change the feel? Someone to make you a website, brochures & cards? People to do the work to make you home more Sustainable/Green/Mother-Earth-Friendly (beyond what we offer within the assessment)? An Interior Designer to tjuz it up? I have good quality people to Connect you with! You want Contacts - I'm your gal as I'm a MASTER of CONNECTIONS!!!! While in your area I will go out & gather information & make you a binder of menus, tours, things to do, lists of stores & businesses in your area, markets, English-speaking taxi drivers, doctors, etc. Important Contact numbers. All this helps the person feel "safer" & in the know which helps them have a more enjoyable vacation! I will share with you my list of things your clients should "Know Before They Come" (hints like making sure they have a Return Ticket indicating they are leaving CR within 90 days, your passport is good for at least 90 more days & is not mutalated or you most likely will be refused entry into Costa Rica & will have to pay for your ticket home till these things are resolved or given a shorter Visa stamp, they need to call their credit card companies before they’re going to let them know they’ll be in CR for certain dates [plus add a few days to the end since charges don’t always go through immediately] - or their card most likely WILL get cut off as the company will think there's some fraud going on). I will give them details/contacts for ways to get from the airport to their destination including English-speaking taxi or van drivers (when possible), car rental agencies we have heard only positive about (RARE) & LOTS more! I will create a word document you can use with this information on it (to either send to your guests or use for your website). I will get you set up on Trip Advisors & other travel related forums/boards (I can write from experience since I will have done it), VRBO (they have a fee) & other places for YOU to promote yourself (we do NOT do the actual promoting but will share with you how to do it &/or Connect you with someone that can). I will create a basic Facebook Page for you (even if you do not desire to be on Facebook, having presence there to promote yourself IS IMPORTANT in this day & age!!!).
