  • Likuliku Lagoon Resort, Malolo Island, Fiji

Over-the-Top Services: The chef delivers a complimentary daily canape plate at sunset, exclusively to overwater-bure guests. Planning an engagement or vow renewal? Check Remarkable Honeymoons or Likuliku's weddings page for packages that include everything from engagement-ring scavenger hunts to a Fijian-warrior guard and escort.

Rates: From 2,810 FJD (about $1,600) per night.

  • The Archipelago Cinema is certainly, the type of creation that you probably have to see for yourself to actually believe it exists. It is a floating cinema/MOVIE THEATRE on the rock riddled shoreline of Yao Noi, Thailand and was designed by German-born and Beijing-based architect Ole Scheeren for The Film on the rocks Yao Naoi Festival.

Guests are transported by boat to a glowing raft on the quiet waters of Kudu Island. They then view the screening from the raft that was built from recycled material. Watching a movie in an environment that has massive rocks, emerging from beneath the water, bodes well for a unique viewing experience.
